The Second Jigsaw Assignment

Overview

The second jigsaw assignment will work the same way as the first jigsaw assignment. You will share the highlights from your assigned chapter with your jigsaw chapter groups and your home discussion group.

1. Part 1: Chapter Key Points Discussion with Jigsaw Chapter Group

Your jigsaw chapter group is assigned a chapter to read from the textbook. Your chapter assignments are below:

Jigsaw Chapter Group A: Chapter 20 High-Risk Pregnancies
Jigsaw Chapter Group B: Chapter 21 Prenatal Diagnosis
Jigsaw Chapter Group C: Chapter 22 Preterm Labor, Labor and Delivery
Jigsaw Chapter Group D: Chapter 23 Postpartum Care (skip the section on Mood Disorder)

After you've finished reading the chapter, determine what you believe the 3 to 5 key points are from that chapter.

After you've individually determined what the 3 to 5 key points from your chapter are, post them in the Second Jigsaw Assignment Part 1: Chapter Key Points Discussion forum. As a group, continue using the discussion forum to reach a consensus on what you believe the 3 to 5 key points are.

2. Part 2: Summary of All Chapters with Home Discussion Group

Second, you will rejoin your home discussion group and provide each other with the summary of the chapter you were assigned. You and your discussion group members will collaborate using a Google doc to create a summary of all of the chapters you were each assigned to read. Upon completion of the summary, you will submit the Google doc to the instructor for review in the Second Jigsaw Assignment Part 2: Summary of All Chapters assignment.
